St. John’s has been presented a wonderful and challenging opportunity to renovate the Parish Center. The renovation is designed to completely refurbish and redesign the building from top to bottom, bring all mechanicals up to date, adding an elevator to serve all three floors, removing the steps at the entrance to the building, and creating much needed meeting space for our ministries.
A very generous parishioner has agreed to match all gifts/donations towards the renovation up to $800K. As in most matching fund drives, the end date to take advantage of this offer is September 30th.
There are many ways to make your gift/donation towards this challenge:
Cash: If sending cash, please put in envelope with your name and address and note “Parish Center Renovation” on the envelope.
Check: Make check out to St. John’s with a note in the memo identifying “Parish Center Renovation”.
Pledge: Pledge cards will be available in the Parish Center, in the church vestibule, or ask an Usher.
Online donation: Go to our Parish website sje1.org, click on the online giving menu, scroll down to "Parish Center Renovation", click on “add to cart”, in quantity box (write amount you wish to give) and then click on PayPal or click on “check out” if you wish to use a credit card.
Faith Direct: Go to our Parish website sje1.org, click on the online giving menu, click on Faith Direct, click on ‘make a one-time gift now’ and then click on Parish Center Renovation.
Please consider how you can help our church take advantage of this opportunity.
Should you wish to discuss this project and matching fund opportunity, please contact Roy Francis, Finance Council Chairman, at 540-222-5368 or via email at [email protected]
